Parliamentary Standing Committee on railways satisfied over land acquistion process for railway projects

KOLKATA: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways in Kolkata, members of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways under the convenership of Bapi Raju Kanumuru, Member of Loksabha held a meeting with both Eastern and South Eastern Railways today in a city hotel.
During the meeting, members discussed regarding the policy of employment in Railways and also land acquisition. Both the General Managers of Eastern and South Eastern Railways, Varun Bharthuar and Vinay Mittal explained elaborately regarding the policies and present condition in details. Members expressed their satisfaction after the discussion specially for the transparency on this two subjects.
Among the members Khiladi Lal Bairwa, Dr. Ram Chandra Dome, Pralhad Joshi, Bapi Raju Kanumuru, Dr.Botcha Jhansi Lakshmi, Somabhai G. Koli Patel and Satabdi Roy from Loksabha and Om Prakash Mathur, Tarini Kanta Roy, T.M. Selvaganapathi and Sushila Tiriya from Rajyasabha and officials from Loksabha Secretariat were present in the meeting. Other than GMs, senior officers of both Eastern and South Eastern Railways also joined the meeting.
