BA Paramadvaiti Swami against Mathura-Vrindavan merger

BA Paramadvaiti Swami called on the government of Uttar Pradesh to reconsider the proposal of merging Shri Dham Vrindavan with Mathura by constituting a Municipal Corporation (Nagar Nigam).  The proposed Municipal Corporation will be a disaster for the ecology, heritage, culture and identity of Vrindavan, he said.

Devotees celebrate Sri Thakur Sukdeb Bramhachari's appeaance day



Biswasuk Milan Mutt and Biswasuk Sebashram Sangha (BSS) organised a two days festival following 108 appearance day of Sri Sri Thakur Sukdeb Bramhachari at Ichapur-Nawababganj in North 24 Parganas from 23 October, 2014. President of the BSS, Achalgiri Maharaj hosted the flag of sangha on Thursday morning and formally announced the beginning of the festival. The festival began with Gurunam Sankirtan(Chanting guru name with kirtan songs). Mr Sujit Kumar Das, from Duttapukur read Srimad Bhagawat. A large number of devotees from all parts of the West Bengal, even some states of India started arriving. Several singers played devotional songs. At 12 o’clock night, announcement was made for prayer to commemorate Sri Sri Thakur Sukdeb Bramhachari appearance time. Women devotees lit 108 lamps as a part of rituals. Thousands devotees took kichdi prasadam next day. Sri Sukananda Bramhachari Maharaj, secretary of the BSS felicitated the meritorious students of Barrackpore subdivision area, especially who did brilliant result in Madhyamik and HS.
